SABCOHA is pleased to announce the appointment of Priscilla Mphahla as the new monitoring and evaluation manager and Hugo Canham, who is the new projects manager.
Her responsibilities also encompass developing indicators for measuring progress across all levels of implementation; developing simple and user-friendly data management systems and data collection tools appropriate for all SABCOHA projects; and developing evaluation tools and systems for all programme and project evaluations according to specified timeframes. Canham was appointed projects manager at SABCOHA at the beginning of May 2008. He has worked in the area of HIV/AIDS workplace programmes at InWEnt Capacity Building International in Germany and has lectured at the University of the Witwatersrand. Given this background, Canham brings a wealth of experience in programme management and training. His appointment will also consolidate relations with a number of strategic partners with which SABCOHA will work. These include German development organisations and those based in Eastern Cape, such as the Eastern Cape AIDS Council and the Eastern Cape Development Corporation. He will also be involved in the project management of the SWHAP supply chain HIV/AIDS initiative as well as other projects. Canham is a registered psychologist with degrees from the universities of Cape Town and Natal. |

As the monitoring and evaluation manager, Mphahla's responsibilities include developing an overall monitoring and evaluation framework for SABCOHA projects; developing and maintaining systems for monitoring the implementation and effect of projects; and advising project managers on key results areas to be monitored.
