Business, Government and Labour have agreed to observe World Aids Day with a 15-minute reflection on the 1st December. If possible this should be the minimum time spent observing the occasion, according to Brad Mears, CEO of SABCOHA.
"This is not only an opportunity for all to reflect on how deeply this epidemic has affected our nation, but also for us to look forward and unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Management and employees are encouraged to conduct their activities as close as possible to midday, as there will be a live television address by the Deputy President, broadcast on SABC," Mears said.
"It is with this in mind that SABCOHA is as possible, ensuring World Aids Day forms an integral part of your HIV, TB and wellness programme."
Included in the package will be the theme of this years World Aids Day activities - Unity and Leadership.
