The legal registration of the Pan African Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (PABC) got under way at the new organisation's first formal conference, chair Brad Mears said in his opening address. 

Members and governors are invited to a Situational Analysis workshop on 23 May at Aspen Pharmacare in Woodmead, Johannesburg to discuss the report of the private sector's response to HIV and AIDS in South Africa.

Please note that the NBI and SABCOHA HIV/AIDS Business Breakfast which was scheduled for Wednesday 14 May 2008 has been postponed due to unforseen circumstances of the keynote speaker, Dr Brian Brink.

Dr Francois Venter, who is a public sector HIV physician in South Africa, spoke to a packed audience on the 28 March 2008 at the University of Cape Town (UCT) Graduate School of Business on the topic HIV: Crisis, What crisis? The talk was hosted by SABCOHA and was very well attended.

SABCOHA is happy to announce that Dr Bongani Khumalo has been appointed as the high level Private Sector Representative on the South African National Aids Council Plenary.

There is an army of volunteers who are making a substantial difference in the fight against HIV/Aids and TB in South Africa by visiting every individual in designated areas and assisting them in getting tested and accessing treatment programmes.

SABCOHA has identified the need to appoint a consultant to carry out work in the Northern Cape.
