The National Strategic Plan 2007 - 2011 expires at the end of 2011.  A thinktank of key roleplayers including Department of Health, SANAC and SABCOHA will be meeting on a regular basis to input strategic and inclusive directives that will influence the drafting of the NSP 2012 - 2016.

The primary aims of the NSP currently are to:
• Reduce the number of new HIV infections by 50%.
• Reduce the impact of HIV and AIDS on individuals, families, communities and society by expanding access to an appropriate package of treatment, care and support to 80% of all people diagnosed with HIV.

Friday, 26 August 2011  at the BUSA Offices.   SABCOHA in partnership with BUSA hosted a workshop with the intention that it would inform a business focused submission for consideration that would influence the drafting of the next phase of the National Strategic Plan (NSP). The NSP 2012-2016 is set to be launched on World Aids Day, 1 December 2011.

Following the Workshop the draft business sector draft submission document was forwarded to stakeholders for further comment.  These comments will be considered for inclusion in the final submission.
