Mike Roy is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Risk Management Solutions division, which focuses on corporate governance and sustainability. Roy, who joined the company in 1986 and became a partner in 1997, oversees the division’s activities in the mining industry in Southern Africa. Roy has brought corporate governance, risk management and internal audit solutions to clients in both public and private sectors across a broad range of industries. During a four-year stint in Namibia, Roy also gained extensive experience with development funding agencies such as the EU, SIDA, NORAD and USAID, in implementing financial controls and building capacity. Clients whom Roy has partnered with in recent years include: Harmony Gold Mining Company, ERPM, Impala Platinum, Goldfields, Discovery Health, Medscheme and the Department of Health.
