jenni-gillies.gifJenni Gillies comes from a Human Resource Management background. Over the past 15 years she has developed extensive experience and expertise in the field of HIV/Aids with the focus being on developing and implementing best practice strategies to effectively manage and reduce the cost and impact of HIV and Aids in the workplace. She has consulted to large multi-national organisations as well as smaller companies both in the urban and rural setting and has worked closely with a number of diverse cultures in many countries in Africa and South America. She has been responsible for the national co-ordination of HIV/Aids interventions for several large companies. Jenni consulted to SAB for 5 years and is currently responsible for the strategic direction of HIV/Aids within SABMiller plc which has operations in more than 40 countries world wide.

She has worked extensively in the area of strategic planning and policy development assisting organisations to develop and implement proactive and effective interventions to manage HIV/Aids at the workplace.

Having worked at a grass roots level in organisations as well as in communities she has in-depth knowledge in the transference of difficult concepts relating to HIV/Aids education. This background has been invaluable in her research over the past few years and as a result she has extensive experience in the psychosocial determinants of behaviour and attitude. This has enabled her to examine education methodologies, which result in behaviour and attitude change.

Jenni has a wealth of experience in HIV/Aids counselling and has trained many health care professionals in counselling skills.

Jenni has presented papers at local and international conferences and facilitated numerous workshops on issues relating to HIV/Aids
