Dave Clark is executive director of Aurum Institute for Health Research, a public benefit organisation dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities through research, treatment, health systems, design and implementation and monitoring and evaluation.

Clark completed a medical degree at Wits University and worked as a mine medical manager and occupational health manager. He was general manager of Anglogold Health Service from 1999 to 2003 and then ran AngloGold Unit Health Project until taking up his present position. Clarke is married with two children.
